Story & Craft Time - New for 2017!

Fairy & Gnome Homes

July 17, Monday

10 AM - Noon

We'll start in our Hemlock Grove Story Telling Circle

with magical fairy stories. Then we'll make a potted

perennial Fairy/Gnome Home and build some

furniture for it out of natural materials.  Bring your

creation home and find a special place for it in your

yard so the fairies and gnomes will come to visit!

Cost is $5 per family plus $10 per potted Fairy/Gnome Home. Limit of 1 per kid or up to 4 per family, whichever is greater. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.  Event will be held rain or shine. Stay and play in our Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom until noon.

To reserve please submit form below with your contact info. Include kid name(s), age(s) and number of Fairy/Gnome homes you would like to make ($10 each.) Payment can be made the day of the event. A parent or adult must be present with kids.

Upcoming Story & Craft times will be on Mondays, July 31, Aug 21, Sep. 11 & 25.

Program is from 10 AM to Noon.  Check back for information on upcoming crafts.

Make use of our Arbor Day-certified play areas . . .  build a fort in the Leaf Litter Messy Area, create a nature craft at the Indian Paintbrush Nature Art Area, water vegetables or look for worms in the Peter Rabbit Garden, or build a Fairy House in our Fairy Village. We let the kids take the lead by doing what interests them the most -- we'll provide a safe and nurturing environment.  Children of all ages, as young as infants, will enjoy their experience here. You can bring a snack or pack a picnic lunch.  Dress for the weather and wear sunscreen/bug spray as needed.

Reservations are not required but we would love to know if you are coming. Use the contact form below. We will not open if we have severe weather, and we can notify you if you reserve.

what nature has to offer us by exploring the forest, stream, and various

habitats here at Petals in the Pines.
