Experience the best New Hampshire has to offer during this weekend-long touring and shopping event. Artisans all over the state, including Petals in the Pines and 8 other Canterbury artisans, will open their doors to show where and how they make their craft. We're open 10 AM to 4 PM each day.
In our Farm Stand we'll be selling whimsical gifts including our individually hand crafted Leaf-Stone bird baths, tables, Lazy Susans, planters, and new this year, Zen gardens. Also, garden & nature themed silk scarves, baskets, needle felted gifts, and delicious Swedish Almond Cakes & Shaker Squash Rolls from our kitchen. Wood-burned products by Gail Maas and Cozy Mittens made from up-cycled sweaters by Christie & Stacy are also available in our farm stand.
New this year we have a Tale Trail! Walk one of our woodland trails following pages of a festive seasonal storybook hung from trees. The tale ends in a special place where you can make a nature craft. Warm up by our campfire, roast marshmallows and enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.
After visiting our place, families looking for a great experience with their kids should also go see the buffalo at Marsh Meadow Farm, alpacas at Someday Farm, and learn about old tools at Old Ways Traditions. These are all kid-friendly businesses right here in town. We have some very talented artists and producers of delicious food and spirits in our town as well. Please note, each location has their own hours they are open each day.
Visit the NH Open Doors web site for directions to the other locations in Canterbury and a listing of all the participants throughout New Hampshire. If you plan to visit at least 5 locations download a Passport and get signatures at each location. Then submit your passport for a chance to win great prizes!
